TO ROME to roam ....

Left for Italy on the 27th June for 3 nights with Alan, Siew Lee and Wendy. We had planned the trip for what seemed like ages, and after much effort the trip was finalised.

When we arrived, it was already late in the afternoon. We only had a few hours before dusk so our first destination was Spanish Steps.

The next day we made an early start, left our apartment at 8.30 and headed straight to the Colosseum.

Next stop was Fontana De Trevi, also known as the wishing fountain. The place was absolutely packed with people throwing coins making their wish/es. Naturally, we did so too.

On the third day, we decided to visit Florence as it was only an hour and a half away by Eurostar. We made our stop at San Duomo.

Next stop at Piazza Michaelangelo. Now that was one spectacular view. We could see the entire city of Florence.

Making our stop at Piazza Pitti.

On our final day in Rome, hours before departing from Rome, we visited the Vatican City and the Sistine Chapel. We then moved on to St Peter's Basilica, a famous church.
