Sports, cuts and bruises

Today was Skrine's Sports Day. 4 teams comprising of the Blues, Reds, Greens & Blacks took part in netball, football, volleyball and table tennis (yeah, why not basketball instead?). Many were injured in the process whether during practice or during the actual game. Hope everyone heals fast! As for my clumsy self, I fell during one of the practices causing a wound on my left arm and bruised palm. Today at the actual game, I sprained my neck. As to how that happened, I can't really account for it.

I did not bring my camera, but fortunately Leesh brought his so lots of pictures have been posted on his blog at http://www.shih.blogspot.com. We can always count on Leesh for his great photography skills. Although I am proud to admit that mine were pretty commendable too. The tug of war pictures were my productions. See the green team pull pull pull? See that tiny person (think it's 3rd in line), that's our Leesh. Great stuff you pulled there Leesh.

Of all the 4 sports events Blues practised for, volleyball was least organised. There were very few players who turned up for practices and the actual team never really played together, not even once. Surprisingly enough Blues actually won volleyball. Call it luck or whatever you want but I am starting to believe that miracles do happen after all. So maybe not for netball, but when your team is playing against a really strong team where at least half of them are avid netball players, WELL all I have to say is ... you can't push your luck too far!
